Hi

So I recently built my computer and for storage I have a SSD and a HDD. I have the OS loaded onto the SSD and I would like to have all my downloads (apart from other programs) on my HDD. I want to start by updating all my drivers and to do so I need Java. When I installed Java, I selected "Choose file destination" and selected my HDD. It then came up with Error "1603". Thing is though is that I can install it perfectly fine into my SSD with no problems. Anyone know a solution to fix this problem?

Em... There's no real point of moving java somewhere else than OS drive.

Ok, u wanna have it on your hdd? Then just install it on ssd, then move all Java folders onto the hdd and then you have to edit your system environment variables (PATH and etc, you may google out how to do this).

But, as I said, just leave it on the ssd, there will be no problems.

Ok cool will do that. When installing drivers can I just put them to my HDD?

you definitely want to just keep drivers on your boot drive... OS kind of expects to have them installed in it, not somewhere else :)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I have installed Java onto my SSD with no problem. However, nVidia scans my computer and says I need the latest version of Java although I do and had it verified (to be up to date) What do I do?

well, nvidia is definitely not checking to see if java is up to date.  You may want to run a virus scan...

Malwarebytes detected nothing...Going to do a PC restart and see if I can try again

Check if u've installed a correct version of java (I mean 32bit or 64bit, depends on your system). This is the most common problem with java.
