Don't get Icy Diamond, since a laptop usually is directly on the chip, so some nice silver based thermal paste such as Arctic Silver 5 is good, I've done a thermal paste replacement on one of my laptops, it conducts heat a lot better now.

Available from 3pm to Midnight Eastern Time (GMT-5). (>'-')> <('-'<) ^(' - ')^ <('-'<) (>'-')> You can't stop the kirby dance.

Don't you mean the laptop cooling?

I'd get some MX-4. Pretty cheap and it's non conductive.

+1 on the MX4. Has the best temps in this test: http://youtu.be/zuwmHyloBk4?t=3m22s

Please school me as to why IC Diamond is no good for Laptop.

It has actual diamonds in it, diamonds damage silicon, a laptop has its chip in direct contact with the heatsink, no heat spreader like on the desktop models of the new haswell line of processors.  If you put IC Diamond on a laptops CPU, it may cause damage to the delicate silicon.

Assuming it goes off the die.

Just be careful with applying. Laptops are so full of electronic that little too much can cause ahort circuit. I'd use thermal pads instead but they don't have as good conductivity as paste would.
