CPU upgrade

Hello guys!

I am planning cpu upgrade! i currently have an fx 8320, I has been thinking about the following cpus: i7 4770k, i7 6700k and xeon 1620 v3. They are in the same price-range. i want to save as much money as i can. So going with the 4770k i can save money on the ram couse i can use my current one. i am planning some light media creation, streaming and high end gaming. i want to be good for at least 2-3 years with the cpu(gpu is an other story). i am looking for the best price/performance.

The 4770K should last at the very least 5 more years before needing an upgrade

i can get the 4770k and the 6700k for the same price. still 4770k?

Z97 MOBO are still a little bit cheaper than Z170 and you would need to buy new DDR4, so if you want to save money the 4770K is still a great choice, but with the same price for the cpu, 6700k is great if you dont mind spending a little extra on new RAM

Where are you getting the 4770k? Paying that much for an old CPU when you could go Skylake for the same price seems like a waste of money.  DDR4 RAM is pretty cheap, and you could get a new Xeon E3 V5 processor for less than $300 that has the same features as Skylake.

4770k has a lot of overheating issues. 4790k is a much better choice.
