8Gb is enough. I'm using a 390x with 8GB of vram. My GPUz show dedicated and dynamic.  Are you running the latest GPUz?

And quote me in your replies. If not, I won't get the notification.

Yup i am running latest gpuz and it shows the same problem and recently i used bsod viewer and from there i found crashing address ntoskrnl.exe has been causing crash in my pc what does it represent. Ix my memory bad.also only once i found dxg.sys error but rest of the time it showed ntoskrnl.exe crash address. I also have doubt instead of running card in pcie 3.0 will it have impact in its vram like mine when i am running it in pcie 2.0 at 16x .

Hey guys can anybody help me? I just bought a new graphic card gtx 980 ti and it says it needs pcie 3.0 to work but i just found out that my motherboard has pcie 2.0 running at x16. Will it work if i stick mt card on that slot or i have to buy new mb. My spec are

I5 4460

8 gb ram 1600mhz

Msi h81 mp33 hyper x

1000 watt coarseair psu

It'll work even with a 1.0 board... but if you have an 4460 it should be a 3.0 board... but even if it's not, 2.0 is still fast enough, it shouldnt cause any problems

I just spent all my money on this card so for few moment i am broke. Do you mean it will work for 1 to 3 months cause i will be upgrading again at that month

it'll work forever, i looked up your board, yes it is an 2.0, suprised me but still it'll work fine with 2.0, you wont notice a difference

B85 chipset is the chipset I use for my i5 4460, any b85 or better chipset board will have PCIE 3.0. and 8GB is enough for now but, 16gb could help with gaming in the future

And one last question. If i stick my graphic card to this slot and power it all up but still by chance if it doesnot show any display what should i do. Any recomendations?

It's going to work. Otherwise reset CMOS and go from there.

reseat it and try again, also check the BIOS options with the i5 HD 4600 graphics if it doesn't work. but there's a like 99% chance it'll work so no worries

Thanx guys. Now no more issues in my mind remainning just gonna try it. If any thing happens than i will report on this post. Hope you guys will help like now. Have a good day guys.

Just something to make note of, if you have components and you're not sure if they'll work together- Try them first. If they work, great. If they don't work, we can give you more detailed feedback. It's best to ask if something will work when you're picking out components before you buy them, and ask for troubleshooting tips when things don't work.

And by the way, welcome to the forum~

Have you tried running more games and benchmark? Try Unigine heaven if you haven't.

Did you also have same problem like mine in pes all with that shared memory stuff.

And about unigine stuff where do i download it.but first did u also have same messing  things like mine with your card

Nope, I don't play pes. Shared memory is just the memory your system shares with the gpu. Nothing to worry about.
