Building Racing Simulator PC

I am in the planning stages of building a full motion simulator and need a high end PC to run it.

My preferences are to run 2 980 TIs in SLI that have an AIO cooling solution.  Either  http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5683#kf

                                                                                                                      Or  http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-1996-KR

I am also looking at Z170 and X99.

For CPU cooling I would like use the following in a push pull configuration:  https://www.ekwb.com/solutions/all-in-one/

my leaning is towards the Predator 360 model.

Other requirements

An add on sound card to run the but-kickers

An Intel PCIe SSD

A PCIe wireless AC adapter.

So what I am looking for help on is a recommendation for

1.  A case that will hold my 3 AIO Rads and take into account the length of the included prefabbed tubing on each

2.  A MB that will allow me to run 2 GPUs in SLI and also have room for 3 more PCIe cards.

Thanks in advance for your response in this matter.

So then what's your budget and do you already have your displays? because you'd save a fair bit of cash going with AMD GPUs and free-sync displays vs G-sync displays

PCI-e SSDs aren't going to be worth it.

and you're probably going to want a caselabs case or like a master case 5 if you're going to do a crazy water cooling set up for some reason...

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Money isnt an issue for this project.  Getting everything that will fit and work together is.   I was planning on getting Gsync Monitors

So were you going 21:9 1440p or 4k? or 1440p 144hz? or what? I don't think anything can really power 3 21:9 1440p displays at native rez

but seriously what's your actual budget? as the money saved going AMD could possible get you a better CPU/overclock that will eliminate it as a bottleneck, something like an i7 running at 4.5ghz potentially.

but free-sync version $900

G-sync version, $1200, so about $600 saved on the displays, and the performance is actually pretty comparable between Fury cards and 980tis in dual GPU configs at 4k

4K benchmarks

http://www.pcworld.com/article/2947547/components-graphics/amd-radeon-fury-crossfire-review-2-fast-2-furious.html

Best option for the money is 3 40" 4k displays, and then you just run them at 1080p*3 for gaming

In racing games, I am not going to be able to drive 3 4K monitors with dual 980 TI's at an acceptable frame rate.  So 4K is off of the table.  I was looking at getting 3 of these: http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-model/UM.CZ0AA.001

They are 144HZ with Gsync.

And I am not including the monitors as part of the budget for the PC they are part of the sim rig

I am now looking at the Phantek Enthoo Primo case.  I could mount the 360 Rad on the Top and the 2 80mm Rads on the back bracket.

You aren't going to really be able to drive those at that high fps though, especially 3 of them, you'd hit a CPU bottleneck before anything else, and I'd still say you're better off with 3 4k displays because they'll last longer. You don't have to run them at native rez, you can run them at 1080p and then you're actually powering almost 4k, and then as the future rolls around in a year or 2, you can just upgrade your GPUs and possibly power 4K * 3 at it's native resolution, being stuck on 1080p is going to kind of suck a bit for the long run.

Also you need to find a golden CPU an OC it to 5ghz or so to eliminate the CPU bottleneck of trying to push your frame rates that high.

if you're looking into some crazy water cooling solution on your case, you'd want case labs, accept no substitute.

So what's your whole budget for everything?

Also depending on how insane you are, free-sync has you covered again with a bit of a silly display, being 34" 1080p 21:9, but with the money saved you could buy like 6 of them and completely surround yourself basically, it's $500
