Anyone know of any software to do this? Im about to put powdercoated heatsinks on and am wanting to measure the temps.

Thanks in advance

3rd party software? nope. Some motherboards do have their own monitoring software for mosfets & northbridge however.

I use my knuckles/finger tips to measure the temps of mobo's heatsinks. It's ok if they are hot. But if you get burnt almost instantly, you may want to work on that.

Overall, nothing to be worried about. Motherboards can throttle them selves when they get too hot.

Thanks for that, i'm just concerned about the powdercoating heating this up a little. I might have to buy some sort of thermal probe tool or something

It's fine to be concerned. A thermal probe is not a bad idea either, as long as it isn't obvious or horrible looking.

What board are you doing this to? The Extreme4?

Gigabyte Z77X D3H The extreme 4 was DOA

Tried HWInfo to see if it can detect those temps? Not sure if any motherboards have sensors in mosfet/northbridge.
