If you right click a game on Steam there is an option to "Backup game files".

Just copying the folders won't work.

There is an option in steam that allows you to backup your games to another location.

Steam library->game-> properties -> local files -> Backup game files.

As for the other non-steam games, you can try making a backup image of the game. I'm not sure if there is such an option for origin and uplay.

What about games that are not from steam?

how?

I guess your best bet is saving the setup file and the game save with it.

Setting up the game won't usually take that long. (not much longer than restoring a backup)

Steam is cleared. The rest of the games, although it is not recommended, you can just .zip the game folders and use them, but it is not 100% trustworthy.

I would just copy game saves (usually found in folders named "save"/"gamesave"/"gamesav"/"world"/"WTF"/"data"-check, not always/similar) and reinstall the whole game from scratch in case of error or problem. It can be a pain in the neck, but it will work 99,9% of the times.

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

Just backing up the steamapp folder (contains all your game stuff apart from save files) works...sometimes.

Sometimes it is just a bitch sometimes and refuses to accept the game files when you need to re-do them (you need to re-verify them and sometimes steam refuses to see you have all the files needed to restore the game)

Best option is to use steams own back-up feature.

I do not know what you are talking about. I copy/paste my entire Steam Library all the time. And it works. 100% of the time.

So yes, you can just copy/paste the folders.

I'm talking about non-steam games. I'm convinced you're able to do it with steam games.

I'm sorry if i didn't make that clear.
