Remove Heat Shrink

Hey all, so I have a defective motor on my drone and I had to solder the wires to the ESC. Does anyone know of a good way to get rid of the heat shrink I put on there? I feel like trying to scrape it off with a box cutter isn't the best idea, but it's all I've got.

what did you use to stick the heat sink with?

If it's double sided tape, try using a hotish blade to scrape it off. soaking in isopropanol could also work, but I'm not going to recommend that unless you really really know what you're doing.

It's heat shrink tubing covering the joints on the wires from the motor to its controller.

Ah. Misunderstood then. A sharp hobby knife should do it. shallow repeated cuts so you don't damage the wires inside

This wire is super thin, like 22-24 gauge. I found that sliding my blade between the wire and heatshrink to peel up a bit of the tubing then pull it off with pliers worked pretty well. Thanks anyway!
