ECC-Buffered Memory on ASRock B85 Killer?

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

No. Non-buffered ECC RAM would work, as they are keyed the same as normal non-buffered non-ECC RAM. Either that, or you'd be needing a server board to use with buffered RAM.

EDIT: Just to clarify, while non-buffered ECC RAM would work in the board, the actual ECC functions would not work. It would just function like regular RAM in that board.

Ok, in the last few weeks i built myself a new PC with a server scavenged (HP Proliant DL320e rack) Intel Xeon E3-1220v3 - which supports ECC-Memory - and a GTX 970 on an ASRock B85 Killer.

I found out that one of my Corsair Vengeance package brand new modules was defective, so i returned the kit to the store, got my money back and borrowed some 2gb 1333mhz Logic memories from my neighbour.

Fast forward to today, i was searching local Ebay (Mercado Livre) for some 16gb RAM kits, and i stumbled on this,a Dell/Hynix 16gb ECC-Buffered server memory kit, good stuff, but will it work on my system? If not, what kind memory should i get?

Ok, thanks for the advice! I'll take a look on some other 16gb kits.
