Acer Predator XB270HU vs AOC U3477PQU

Raiden60
Go to solution Solved by ShadowCaptain,

Depends on your rig, what you prefer and many other factors

4k is arguably more about the eye candy, but 1440p is still extremely sharp, for fast paced games and shooters 144hz is amazing, for slower RPGs etc 4k might be more important

4k can still have scaling issues on smaller displays so thats worth bearing in mind too

Personally I think 1440p 144hz is the best option, 1440p is easier to run, no real scaling issues etc

To my understanding, 3440x1440 @ 60Hz is easier to run than 2560x1440 @ 144Hz but you can run a 144Hz monitor at any frame rate(What I mean by that is you could run a game at 1440p at a lower framerate instead of lowering the res and settings). These both cost roughly the same, so what are the pros and cons to each one? I've never tried 144Hz but I feel that 60Hz is a tad slow.

Yeah, planning on having a 970 SLI rig, that'll run 1440p on pretty much any game, and for the less intensive games it'll run at the higher frame rate. Was looking at this Acer monitor ever since NCIX did a video on it. Thanks
