Gpu makes pc crash

Bajantechnician

My gpu, when even slightly stressed, makes my pc crash. I don't know what the problem is, but I do know for a fact that the gpu ITSELF,even though does make the pc crash, is not the actual issue. I put the gpus in another system, and it is totally fine.

Current system is 5960x, godlike gaming motherboard, 64 go ddr4, ax1500i

thats all the important stuff.

thanks

i5 4670k| Asrock H81M-ITX| EVGA Nex 650g| WD Black 500Gb| H100 with SP120s| ASUS Matrix 7970 Platinum (just sold)| Patriot Venom 1600Mhz 8Gb| Bitfenix Prodigy. Build log in progress

I did that already. It's the gpus making it crash, but it's fine in another system

Have you tried rolling back drivers or updating them?

So..

i downloaded Crimson 15.2(or .6) on the two systems, basicly all software is replicated between the non working and working system

Did you use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to get rid of the old drivers? Also, are the power connectors properly seated in the graphics cards and the PSU? And are the graphics cards properly seated in the motherboard?

Mobos totally new

Still doesn't rule out the PCI-Express slots being the root of the problem. Chances are, if both 390Xs worked in your rig, then the slot is defective.

One gpu will boot, but will crash, 2 gpus wont boot

I still stand with the PCI-Express slot argument then.

Can you test with a ligher GPU? This could possibly rule out the CPU as a factor.
