I recently got a HG10 N980 from Corsair but the results are basically the same as when the card was air cooled plus it is bending my card ever so slightly. When I removed the reference cooler I never touched the thermal pads and I put the film that cover the pads on the HG10 onto the reference cooler'd pads. I'm looking to reinstall the reference cooler and I'm wondering if I would be fine without replacing the original thermal pads. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Ty guys. I have one more question, if I were to replace them what thickness should I go with?

I would have a look at the old pads and try to gauge the thickness, try finding one that hasn't clamped down on the edges but I think they're something like 1mm or something but don't take my word for it.
