Curved worth it?

Hi everyone,

I want to know your opinion about curved TVs. Are they worth it? I found 55' Samsung flat for 1000€ and totally same TV but curved for 1500€. Is it worth it?

It depends on your room layout. Curved TVs work best if you view it from the middle, people sitting at other angles may see distortion. Flat TV's can be seen from most angles.

I know, it is really said in general worth it but I want to know your experience with curved TVs.

no curved TVs are not good in my opinion..... I think Linus made a vid about one saying you really don't notice it after about 10 minutes of use cause you are far away from it... unlike a curved computer monitor which u can tell its curved and it actually has an effect.

 

don't get curved and save your money and buy some games or something

Completely useless in my humble opinion and nothing more than a marketing gimmick to get people to pay more. No one sits close enough to their tv for the curse to actually matter. A curved 21:9 monitor is actually useful because you sit close to it and the curve will help with viewing angles of both ends. Save your money and buy a regular flat screen.
