Which Mobo??

If the cheaper option has all the ports/features you need, then no, the more expensive option isn't worth the cost. (the most important plus of the Pro is wifi)

Hey everyone,

I finally decided to do a new build as I am currently running with an AMD Phenom II x4 955. It is really showing it's age. I don't game hardcore anymore as I don't have the time and generally play games like Starcraft, heroes of the storm and LoL. (Nothing too demanding). I also use my PC though for work and on a given day typically have the following up and running at the same time :MS Word, Excel, Project, Autocad and a few web pages. I was back and forth between getting a 6700k or 5820k, but ultimately I think the 5820k is a much better value. (Especially since I live by a microcenter which is selling them for $320).

I wanted to go with an Asus X99 board because I have never had problems with the brand and I do appreciate the white and black look of their boards. My question though is what's the real difference between the X99-Pro and X99-A? Is there any real benefit to getting the more expensive option in this case? I will only be running one (1) GPU and plan on getting an M.2 SSD if that factors in at all. Thanks for any help/input you all have!
