Need help with a monitor choice.

overclocked

So i have an old HP w2207 monitor and looking to upgrade. I have a EVGA SSC 970 as my card. I mainly play WoW with other blizzard games, dota. I occasionally pick up the flavor of the month AAA tittle but it's not the games i play often so don't care much if it's not on the best of the best settings. That being said i'm debating b/w

27' Asus IPS 1080p http://www.ncix.com/detail/asus-vp279q-p-27in-ips-led-20-121060.htm

25' Acer IPS 1440p http://www.ncix.com/detail/acer-g257hu-smidpx-25in-wqhd-48-120240.htm

29' LG IPS UltraWide 1080p http://www.ncix.com/detail/lg-29um57-p-29in-ultrawide-ips-2d-106426-1148.htm

Not looking for more than $400. Also Asus is going down in price soon to $280 which making this harder.

Looking for best experince/$ and general feedback.

You should go 1080p ultrawide, this doesn't look good. 1080p is max 24" and 1440p at 27".

so between a 25' 1440p and 29' Ultrawide you would pick the ultrawide?

If I had to pick I would most likely go for the ultrawide as I love them I have my old 25in 1080p ultrawide as a secondary now that I have a 34in 1440p dell ultrawide but that is just me. I will say going from 1080p to 1440p is a great upgrade.
