Backup Software Over Network?

So I have a 500GB harddrive connected to my Linksys 1900AC and use to to listen to my music on my phone, and move all of the picture and such off of it. I back it up to a 1TB WD harddrive, but it takes forever to move and such. I want to also connect his one to the router but is there any easy backup solution to nightly backup, software or even anything that I can do with the router for that to happen? Thanks.

Well, you can use an Ethernet cable from computer(with the 1TB drive attached) to the router, you can setup the 500gb drive as a networked device and transfer it that way, but if you need faster transfer speeds then id recommend looking for one of the videos Linus has done (and he has done several on this) for getting fast network transfer speeds.
