Hello, I am about to build my gaming pc and I wanted to buy a headphone amp. But there are so many options and not a lot of reviews I got confused. I was hoping that someone could recommend me a amp that is  under 100 usd.

what headphones do you have? Because if you dont need an amp to power them then it is just a waste of money.

What do you mean by "enhance" sound quality? Does your headphones come with a software ? Usually there is some EQ and effects there that you can try

Motherboard to day have really great dac's and amps build into them so you would only need a amp if you have some pretty high end headphones that are really hard to drive and a dac or a new sound card would also be stupid unless you have noise in your audio.

Not necessarily, sound is veery subjective and some people are good only with a software EQ or some random dolby effect turned on

but as I said you wont need a dac unless you have noise.

He can do that but it will take a long time for him to find what is best for him and some headphones do not like when you use a EQ, I don't know why.
