Valence Electrons?

Ok, so this is "Off-Topic" well this is a bit off topic. Valence electrons are the electrons in the outer electron shell of an atom. I know that the first 3 shells are 1s 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^6, but what comes after that? I've seen some other letters been thrown around, but i have no clue how many electrons each of these unknown shells hold. So does anyone around here know what comes next? Thanks for the help.

There are 4 letters; spdf, I can't remember which come after 3p6 off the top of my head. I'd need a table. I have bad memory 

 

i think its 1s2, 2s2, 2p6, 3s2, 3p6, 4s2, 3d10 (although I think 3D comes before 4s). 

 

Which element are are you trying to write out?

I understand that you can use the groups on the table to find the number of Valence electrons, but i just wanted to know each of the shells and how many electrons can be put in each. This video does a fair job of explaining what i need. Thanks for sharing.
