Hey guys,

My friend is wanting to build a gaming PC and his budget is around $600. Can anyone help with this?

I'm not up to date with the good stuff anymore because I haven't really been researching much for a few months so I'm not sure what to get. I'm not entirely sure what game he's planning to play but it'll be something like Warthunder, CS GO and eventaully onto other things but I'm not for sure yet. He just wants a better PC to play games on and wants quite a lot of storage.

So yeah if anyone has any advice for what parts he could get and have a good PC with decent graphics and processor that would be great.

Thanks!

Would something like this be any good?

Its not mine but I found it and I'm wondering if anything like that would be decent too.

Thanks again,

Yes that will work fine, but the build i shoed will be a bit faster for about the same price(my build has windows) the 380 is normally a bit faster than the 960 and the i3 is much better than the amd althon cpu.

And then for the operating system you can download it from another computer because windows 10 in currently free so you just need another working computer to download it. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-upgrade here's the link to do that.

Thanks you all for the replies. I think I'll end up going with something similar to @kameshss or @Electronics Wizardy or @tataklee. But I'll have to find a cooler that he can use because I don't think the stock would be good enough.

Thanks :)

So this is my final build and I checked with my friend and he says it seems like what he wants.

Thoughts?

Looks good, some small changes i would make.

Use the stock cooler. A i5 doesn't make much heat and the stock cooler is enough for it.

Id use a single 8gb ram stick if you ever want to upgrade to 32 as you won't won't have to replace the old stick.

Id try to get a ssd if you can, but it can also be a good upgrade a year or two from now.
