I have my hard drive plugged in and it works. It is detected in the motherboard BIOS, but it is not detected in windows. My SSD is for the windows boot, but when I want to download simple applications like Steam the only option I have is my SSD. How do I change this?

ctrl-x or right mouseclick on the windows icon and go to diskmanagment and create a new simple volume.

Go to disk management you should able to see your drive ... you just need to create a volume/partitions it  and it should show up in explorer.

Go into device manager (My PC > Manage), find the hard drive you're looking for and right click > create a volume.
