wifi adapters

hey, i moved into my dorm in school and they only offer wifi and it isnt near my dorm and atm im using a old dlink usb wifi adapter and it isnt strong enough to get a good hook on the wifi.  so im in the market to buy a new adapter but im thinking of a pci slot one, so if any one has a sugestion let me know or is this one good? http://www.ncix.ca/products/?sku=77959&vpn=PCE-AC66&manufacture=ASUS thanks

That is pretty much the best wi-fi adapter you can get for a consumer device.

perfect thanks man, yeah thats what i thought but i wanted to double check, do you think open box would be alright? or just get a sealed box?

The only issue buying that one is that it is wireless AC capable, a standard which you probably won't be able to make use of since the dorm's wifi is almost certainly N (maybe even G *shudders*) not AC. What that's basically gonna mean is that you're paying more than you need to. You might be better off getting a wireless N adapter with a powerful antenna, since N has better penetration than AC anyway.
