Smartwatches have been shoved down our throats and they have ultimately began to open the doors of wearable tech. Later down the line we could be seeing our phone, watch, shoes, and glasses could all link up to inform us of any type of notification. A tad intrusive but nonetheless, neat.

So time for your opinion. What is the best Smartwatch? Price to performance included along with features!

Aesthetics are important! Nobody wants a $300 piece of plastic strapped to their wrist if it looks like crap!

There's the Sony Smartwatch 2

I don't like to where anything on my wrists so I will pass.

i usually wear a watch so these things intrigue me :P i want to know if the practicality is worth it.

If I needed a watch I would get a watch, but I hate things on my wrist so I am not getting one

but why not have emails, txts, calls forwarded? its makes thing so much more unobtrusive.

sittin there watchin a movie in the theater? you dont have to worry about pulling out your phone to check missed calls

Well checking your watch is just as bad in a movie theater, it is the light from the screen that makes people angry, and how are you going to read stuff from a tiny little screen like that.

The sony one connects to the new and upcoming Sony Xperia Z1, it displays your battery, time, messages and as you can see, allows you to control media.

Apparently the Sony one can display txts from any android phone.

That defeats the purpose of having one then, because you still have to go into your pocket and grab something :P

Then I shall makeshift a pair of glasses with the ability to zoom in whenever I so desire! :D

Well prescription glasses are around 400$

20/20 vision. :P

I think the price is too ludacris for the features offered. The watch kinda meets the middle ground. Some features that glass has but at a tenth of the price

I own the original Sony SmartWatch (not the LiveView) and its great., only issue was the battery died after a day or two even with the screen off, thinking of upgrading to the 2  for the up too 7 days with battery on, or even a pebble, having wrist based notifications is damn well handy, plus call and multimedia controls, great for at the gym, can be on the treadmill, get a buzz and look to see what you've got. be it a work email, a text, missed call or music controls.
Nothing like being out on a jog, getting a call and not needing to stop to get the damn phone out of your pocket to answer even thought you're wearing headphones. just a press of a button on your wrist and your done.
could be listening to your music, a song you don't like starts playing that you've been meaning to delete in ages, swipe the screen and its gone.
my only issue is there isn't a calculator app!

I'm a watch wearer all the way but, Always worn them and i just can't understand why you wouldn't wear one.
Tempted to get an I'm Watch as well, but they're expensive and not sure on the battery life!

I have a feeling that these new smart watches are going to fail pretty hard. We replaced watches with cell phones.

Surely a Casio Pro Trek is a smartwatch no?

I'm wearing one for the last 4 years, PRW-1300T, never changed the battery (tough solar, always full battery), I love it and would defend it to the hills. But after 4 years on my wrist, I'm thinking of buying a new watch just for change.

Pebble looks best for me, it's a watch after all, I don't want to walk around lugging a behemoth on my wrist like the Samsung gear, although I'm using Samsung Phones (Note 2 currently), and for the forseable future. The gear looks bad compared to the Pebble which acually looks like a watch (albeit not the best looking). And whoever wants to carry a camera on their watch? And the battery life doesn't help, but 7 days is still better than one day. And 150$ seems reasonable, seeing as I was prepared to pay 350$ for a casio Era-200 red bull edition the other day...

I'd love it if you could relay the calls to a bluetooth headset via pebble - no need to get yuor phone out of your pocket.

TBH I'm still contemplating if it's a waste of money for me. Need more research.

Intel 4770k@4.6GHz, ASUS ROG Maximus VI Hero, Kingston HyperX Beast 2x8GB 2400MHz CL11, Gigabyte GTX 1070 Gaming, Kingston HyperX 3k 240GB - RAID0 (2x120Gb), 2xWD 1TB (Blue and Green), Corsair H100i, Corsair AX860, CoolerMaster HAF X, ASUS STRIX Tactic pro, Logitech G400S, HyperX Cloud II, Logitech X530, Acer Predator X34.
