Yes, I am using a legit copy (sometimes I forget that people actually pirate things anymore).

...holy crap I think I fixed it.

I had to go in and tick "friends" next to my home network (which is set to "private").

VERIFIED: That fixed it. What the actual frell, Avast.

np, mark the thread solved to help people with the same problem

My Avast firewall is being a pain in the arse and not allowing certain things to connect to online services like they should. I've made a video displaying the issue. If anyone has any pointers on this, that would be great. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Avast as well, and nothing has changed. It is not having this issue on my other Avast installation, on my other computer.

application rules - > something like "add a new program to pass through firewall" -> profit

Ive not used avast in years, but this is how you do it in most firewalls

You are using a legit copy, right

If yes, then try doing "run as admin"

Ive not used avast in years, so im not sure if this feature excist, but, if there is an adapter tab, where you can designate what security level each network (like your home network, mc donalds wifi, etc) has (office, public ,etc) try setting it to private/trusted network or something

Long live Stalin, he loves you; sing these words, or you know what he’ll do!
