CPU-Mobo compatibility

Hey just a quick question my friend's been planning to upgrade and I'm helping him with it. He's running a core2duo something on an s775 mobo. Now what we managed to dig up information on this is that its an "Asrock Conroe" and "Lakeport g i945" There was nothing else even on the mobo itself or aida64 wasnt really helpful either. So anyway will a q6600 fit in it and work with it? Thanks in advance.

I cant sadly, the mobo seems to be so old that it doesnt even have a listing.

Did you try booting into the BIOS and looking around?

Sorry I kinda phased out. I finally managed to dig up something useful, turns out sadly the highest end the mobo accepts is the core2duo, no c2quad :\ Luckily i might find decent priced bundles with that chip, from what i've seen on ebay.
