Which graphic card?

BrisoX

So, I want to buy a new PC.

My components are:

AMD FX-8350 processor

Asus M5A97 LE R2 motherboard

Corsair H100i water cooling

HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz

OCZ ARC 100 - 120GB SSD

WD Caviar 1TB 7200rpm

and now, the question is.. CrossFire two of Sapphire HD 7870 Dual-X 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 OC or one Gigabyte Radeon R9 380 4GB GDDR5 OC edition.

Which would be better and why and what abt power supply? Would 650W be enough for both combinations?

Single GPU option is always better. Maybe not in performance, but it will be a lot less pain in the future.

Current Build: Core i7 4790k @ 4.6, Asus Maximus VII Hero, Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400mhz 8gb (2x4gb), GTX 980ti, NZXT Kraken X61, Fractal Define R5  EVGA Supernova B2 850w, Some 300gb hard drive.

Go for the 380. Make sure it is a good power supply. Not a unbranded one.

At this price point, go for AMD. In this price point you can only get the 960. But the 380 is way better than the 960.

that CPU is pretty outdated though...and not a very good performer in games...if you do not already own this dead end PC might wanna look at the i5-4460 or i5-6400 for example it shouldnt be much more expensive than this if you let go the h100i for example...and no AMD FX chip is able to outperform those chips in games.

well, i wanted to go for 4690K but too expensive.

think that 4460 is pretty solid change for fx8350?

Get this power supply instead:http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20650y1

Also try getting Skylake i5 6500 if you can.

yeah especially for a gaming rig it's a worthy upgrade on itself...let alone if you buy new parts...go with a cheap H97 motherboard and you'll be all set.

I owned an FX-8320 that i had overclocked to 4.6ghz in my gaming rig, then i swapped that for an i7-4770K and i did played many games with no hyper-threading and lower multiplier to see how those chips perform and it's a lot better than the FX...you can see some of this testing on my youtube videos...here for example assassin's creed unity running on the 3.4ghz core i5 (i5-4460 simulation) as you can see it run well and it's GPU bound...not the case with the AMD FX chip:

well both i5 4460 and 6400 are like no difference in price at my country so i would go for them. 6400 maybe better cus of 14nm?

You can make your PC somewhat "future proof" for some years.

CPU:Intel Core i3 3210 Mobo:MSI B75MA-E33  GPU:Intel 2500 HD Graphics  SSD:Adata SP600 128gb  HDD:Seagate 1tb 7200rpm

yeah that would be great...is the i5-4590 much more expensive? it's just a bit faster but sometime when the price difference is only a few bucks it might be worth it....but otherwise yes this is better than the AMD FX processor.

4590 not worth it then, FX is also out of the race.

how about the i5-6500?

the i5-4460 is epic though you don't really need more than that for gaming honestly.

yeah for your GPU go with a single card...4GB R9 380 or R9 380X are great 1080p gaming cards for the price...

i would advise against the 2GB cards though...2gb of video memory is not enough for current games, even at 1080p.
