5K Graphics Card

Go to solution Solved by AlwaysFSX,

Any GPU with two displayport plugs can do it, you just have to tile the display in the driver. As for gaming, two 980 Tis can do it handily at decent settings and frame rate. It's not that high of a resolution increase compared to 4k.

Does anyone know which NVIDIA and/or AMD graphics card support a 5K resolution? I have been trying to find them, but the GeForce website has not been very helpful. I have been looking for a 5K graphics card to see if there is such a thing, since I have the monitors. I am leaning towards NVIDIA, but if AMD is the only one that is supported, so be it.

Just to drive the monitor, or for gaming?

Gaming, currently not a chance in hell.

Is it true that 1 Titan Z can support a 5K display by itself? I got that information from Wiki.

For Gaming, but mainly just for the resolution. I have minimal experience with graphics cards, the few times when I built my rig, but otherwise, just to drive the monitor.

None that I know of.

Edit:

Also no GPU could drive a 5k resolution in gaming.

I don't believe that. I have a 27" 5K iMac at home, and it runs the Witcher 3 at a decent FPS with 2 Thunderbolt Displays. Do you know what graphics card the iMac has? I am slightly confused whether it is a Radeon or not.
