Hello everyone! I am in an interesting situation on choosing which upgrade path I should chose, or if I should wait all toghether.

Here are my systems. All computers have 3 Monitors hooked up to them running individual desktops. (AKA not streched across 3 monitors)

Daily Driver Comp: Used for general online University assignments, emails, youtube etc. I also use this comp. to seed BF4 servers.

Specs: A suped up Dell Inspiron 580 from 2008-2009

i5 650 Dual Core @ 3.2 Ghz

Foxxconn or OEM H57 Motherboard

Corsair HX 650 Watt PSU

Vision Tek R7 260X {used to be a HD 6950}

Scan Disk 240 GB SSD.

10 GB of Ram {I know that's random It was an experiement to see if i Could actually expand. 3x2GB 1x4GB}

ETC: Stock case, with an aftermarked air cooler and some other touches like a 4K rpm 80mm rear exhaust fan (:D) and things like that.

Gaming Computer: Used to play BF4 and similar titles @ 900P (or 1600x900)

i5 4670K Running at stock speeds

Asus Z97-A Motherboard

Corsair Hx 750Watt PSU

Crossfired Vision Tek R7 260x's {Yeah yeah I know that wasn't a good idea)

Corsair Neutron Series (Or similar named) 240GB SSD.

16GB Corsair Ram (4x8GB)

Corsair H60 Watercooler

This is in a Rosewill Challenger 2.0 Case. I've upgraded all the fans to Corsair fans to help airflow and static pressure.

I have a few upgrade paths. I have a spare Gigabyte z87x-D3H Motherboard lying around. I replaced it from a diagnosis process with my gaming comp.  I can either.

1. Buy a new processor to use with the Z87 Board and replace my "Dell" system.

2. Take the 4670K and put that on the Z87 and replace my "Dell" with that and buy like a 4690K to go in my gaming comp.

3. Buy a new Case for my gaming Comp, and move my "Dell" into my rosewill case (Was thinking either corsair 450D or 750D for gaming comp)

4. Save and build a Skylake System, Put that in a corsair 750 or 450D make that my gaming system, move my current gaming system to replace my "Dell" and make my actually "Dell" system a HTPC or a server or something.

I'm also keeping in mind that Pascal is coming out and I want to get rid of these R7 260x's in my gaming PC as their framerates dip into the mid 40's on BF4 @ med settings on 1600x900 in some demanding multiplayer maps (Zavid 311, Hanian Resort)

I'm also keeping in mind that BF5 may be coming out around the Pascal release date, and I can guestimate that my R7's will struggle greatly to maintain above 60 FPS at low or med. settings.

So what do you guys think? I've got around a comfortable $400 Dollar budget (I'd obviously save to build a skylake system) that I can use to upgrade with out feeling too bad.

I'm sorry for any typo's or mispelled words, I typed this up on my tablet :)

Thanks!!!

Thanks!

Should either buy a free-sync display, or upgrade your GPU to a 380

Or do both for 400, ish

1080p 144hz Free-sync, only TN though, it'll be good for gaming though, there's also an ultra wide for 300, maybe get the GPU then sell your 260x's.

380 apparently does about 60fps with everything maxxed out on mantle, these guys have a weird test set up though, and obviously these are settings you'd never even play at for multiplayer

Although these guys show it ahead of the 960 so who the hell knows
