Hello Forum

I just got my PC, and I connected my Logitech z506, but I can't get 5.1 sound out.

I checked the MSI user guide, but it only mentions Stereo and 7.1 sound.

Any Ideas? The motherboard is the MSI Z170A Gaming M3

Verify that the five channels of the z506 are all plugged in properly, and that every connector color-matches the port on the board. However, some boards do not label their audio connectors properly, so this might have been why you are receiving no sound.

Usually motherboard manufactures have their own stuff, but you should ignore it and use Windows stuff.

Thank you all for your quick responses and tips. Indeed there wasn't "proper" labeling on the back and by trial and error, I managed to get all the speakers working!
