Hello!

First time posting here so if I'am doing something wrong please tell me immediately! Also English is not my first language so if I make any mistake, please leave me a comment where I messed up! So I can learn :)

Sooo... I'am building my first pc! I've already bought some stuff for my build but have some questions in the build.

Things I've already bought:

-MotherBoard: MSI B85-G43  ( https://www.pcfactory.cl/producto/15043-MB.Intel.B85-G43.GAMING.1150 )

-PSU: Cougar CMX 700W  ( https://www.pcfactory.cl/producto/19277-Fuente.Poder.700w..14cm.80Plus.Bronze.CMX.700.v3 )

-RAM: Hyper X FURY 2X4gb   ( https://www.spdigital.cl/products/view/36471 )

-CASE: Cougar Challenger   ( https://www.pcfactory.cl/producto/19270-Gabinete.ATX.Challenger.6HM6.Black.sF )

Things I want to buy but don't know if they will bottleneck each other or will make a good gaming duo:

-CPU: Intel Core i5- 4590 ( http://www.ttchile.cl/producto.php?i=14189 )

-Gpu: R9 390X ( https://www.spdigital.cl/products/view/49100 )

As you can see I live in Chile. Here everything is very expensive (For example the Msi gtx 960 costs around 365 dollars here)

The Gpu/cpu im showing you guys here are in a "deal" so I would love to save money.

I want to play videogames in 60 fps (doesn't have to be everything on ultra. I can play with the settings a bit but wish to stay on High settings always)

Also I want to buy a monitor that is Ultra-wide and I don't really know if the CPU+GPU will be a "good to play AAA videogames at 60+fps at 1080p"

-Monitor: AOC Led 29 inches Ultra wide ( https://www.spdigital.cl/products/view/38769)

Wish you guys could give me some opinions! Remember that the gpu/cpu are in a "deal" so I'll be able to save a couple bucks'!

Thank you guys! I'll be waiting for your response!

Greetings from Chile!

-Benjamin

390x is an overkill for games at 1080p. Get 390 or 380x, you'll still get very solid performance

Doesn't matter if the monitor is 2560x1080?

There are no place here in chile that have 380x.

And the 390's cost almost the same as the 390x on sale :/ Damn. I hate that we don't get many choices! Thanks for the answer buddy! :3

Hello!

Just get a normal 390, not the X, the X isn't worth it unless the price between the 2 isn't much

also you should return your motherboard if you can and get an H97 board, it'll have a few more features, but mostly it should have more stable power delivery for the high end chips

if the i5 4460 is cheaper by a good margin get that instead

used the money saved on the GPU to potentially get an SSD

If the 390x is nearly the same get that, what you can then do if you want is undervolt/underclock it and you'll have a more efficient GPU that'll use less power than it would otherwise and run cooler.

and if you haven't bought the display already look for either 1200p or 1440p displays over an ultra wide if you're doing other stuff besides gaming as the extra vertical pixels are highly useful, or look at free-sync displays, they usually don't cost much more, and will make gameplay a lot smoother.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Prices of 390 and 390x in your store:

R9 390 - 334$ https://www.pcfactory.cl/producto/20444-Video.AMD.Radeon.R9.390.8192MB.GDDR5.Windforce.2X.OC

R9 390x - 429$ https://www.pcfactory.cl/producto/20402-Video.AMD.Radeon.R9.390X.8192MB.GDDR5.Tri-X.Cooling

Get the R9 390, the performance difference is not that big and certainly not worth the price.

As for the CPU:

Core i5 4460 - 144$ https://www.pcfactory.cl/producto/17076-CPU.Core.i5-4460.3.2.GHz.1150

Core i5 4590 - 171$ http://www.ttchile.cl/producto.php?i=14189

Once again, the performance difference is not that big and certainly not worth the price. I have 4460 in my PC and it works flawlessly.

With the saved money get an SSD drive, they will make a huge difference in general use as well as in games, and they aren't even that expensive (115$ for a very solid Samsung 850 EVO - http://www.ttchile.cl/producto.php?i=14610 )

I looked in the page that had the 390x today morning and they put it on normal price so is not convenient anymore. Too much money. But I think I might get the 390 (the normal one) in other store. The only question that I have now is that... Gigabyte. Is it a good product? I know Asus and Msi are pretty good but when you say  gigabyte im 0 knowledge. So I'll check in the web about that brand. Maybe you can give me some opinions too! :)

But the other thing i will get 100% sure is an SSD. A couple of you guys have already recommended a lot!

Thanks again for your feedback! I'll keep researching!

think I'll consider buying the normal 390. Now the problem on the 4460 in the store "pc factory" is the stock. They don't have any 4460 here (unless near where I live) but there is 1 very far away from me. Some friend told me that I can call and they will bring the product from 1 of their stores to another. That may take 1 day at most so I'll check this today.

The other thing I will do is get an SSD. Many friends plus a couple of you guys have recommended a lot! In the other store there are a lot of SSD in sale so I will definitely check them out.

Again, thanks for your feed back!

Greetings

Just don't buy a V300 series SSD, maybe go for 850 series SSD if it isn't too pricey, whatever the case may be make sure it has 500/500 read/write
