Just give them your account info so they can manage it.  It is LinusTechTips for gods sakes.  They are not a malicious company and none of their employees are either.

I wouldnt give them my account info, I would tell them about the issue and get google involved. Never should you spread your password anywhere

I'd rather just say fuck it and let them deal with it.  I'd rather have them deal with Google since they are a rather large cog in the works (YouTube channel size).  Just trying it yourself is likely to get no attention.

The only time I remember it being Thursday was around Christmas when their schedule was a little messed up (for obvious reasons (holidays))

While I wouldn't feel particularly panicked at all if they had my account info (which, believe me, is saying something), I still wouldn't volunteer it to them :)  Plus, I'm pretty sure there is actually nothing that needs to be done here; unless you actually complete the verification process, it's not like you've stolen their account.
