   So I got an Intel i5 4690k and a GeForce gta 970. I am fairly new to the computer building world and want to build one so bad. I'm a bit confused on the ddr4 and ddr3 thing. Sorry if I sound uneducated or inexperienced but I could use some tips on what other parts to buy. Trying to keep the budget around $1000 including the processor and graphics card. Thanks!

Haswell (4xxx, 5xxx) is ddr3, sky lake (6xxx) is ddr4, use pcpartpicker.
