So I haven't really asked this but I figured I'd give it a go.

Where I live we have a store called Frys Electronics, and its a pretty big store filled with PC parts, appliances etc..

Now when you purchase something you through a big checkout line, and when you get to the exit a guy asks to see your receipt and check your bag.

My dad has always never let them check his bag, he shows them the receipt and tells them no, one guy actually grabbed his bag and got chewed out for doing it by my dad. (we never saw him again)

His thought is that if you already paid for something and show them the receipt, looking in your bag is treating you like you stole something.

For me, I don't really care, but is this actually right for them to do? (Well its their store they can do what they want.)

Stores like Micro Center don't check your bag. They have lots of expensive products in Frys but most of those are usually secured with alarms etc..

Thoughts on this?
