Intel G3258 OC

Can I overclock my Intel G3258? I have an Asus B85 Pro Gamer Motherboard and the Intel G3258 @ 3.2Ghz. How do I overclock it if I can? Also what will change on the performance of the chip?

you can't really with the B85 chipset. unless you mess with the BLK strap but not recommended.

 

just swap for the Asrock Z97 Anniversary. it has a special overclock boost built in function for the G3258.

You should be able to overclock on that board. I could overclock my G3258 to 4.4 GHz on a much cheaper H81 board than that. Read this all the way through:

you can over clock with that MoBo as you can see in there link here is a Bios Version Update

if you really need to help search 1st before telling somebody that they cant Overclock on a B85 MoBo, in fact that even on H81M MoBo you can OC a G3258 and the new Devil's Canyon CPU.
