If pricing was not an issue I would say the ncase m1, however trying to watercool it will be tight but it has been done plenty of times.

Yeah, NCASE M1 or the SG13 are some of the smallest options today. I shouldn't have to say this, but AIO is best for watercooling, custom's a bad idea

If you really want the optical drive bay, the SG05 is an excellent choice. It supports full length GPUs (pretty much up to a Titan X or 980 Ti in length with modification) and a slim optical drive, as well as a 3.5" and a couple of 2.5" drives. It also has a single 120mm that can fit a pretty thick AIO, but the 3.5" might be in the way if you go that route. Another option is the SG13, which is an excellent case and improves upon the SG05. It doesn't have an optical bay, but it does support (natively) full length GPUs as well as a single 120mm AIO, or a 140mm AIO if you choose a shorter GPU. The NCase M1 is also nice but it's a bit bigger, but it does offer some features like 240mm radiator support and three slot GPUs.

I'm the SFF guy around here, if you need any more help then I'm sure I can provide some info.

No one mentions the EVGA Hadron Hydro?

People have modded their AIrs for water cooling.. which I may do with mine...

But it only has 2 drive bays, a proprieteryish cd/dvd/blueray slim drive, as the buttons need to line up, but you can find some that will work, and GPUs up to 10.5-11inches depending on how you cable manage...

Silverstone FT-05: 8 Broadwell Xeon (6900k soon), Asus X99 A, Asus GTX 1070, 1tb Samsung 850 pro, NH-D15

I have the AIR myself as my second rig, but not water cooled.

Don't know if OP wants to go the modding rout for water cooling. The Hydro is a bit easier although the case is bigger.

It's a pretty limited case to be honest, if the PSU dies then you're very limited on replacements, and the 500W PSU is kind of slim for something like a 290X or 980 Ti if he wanted to use one. Cooling is very limited as well, and although the Hydro solves that, it's quite a bit bigger than the Air.

It is a limited case.

However, 500 is good enough for 290xs and 780s... so a 980 ti would be fin, as many people have done that and the power draw itself doesn't exceed 500.

EVGA's PSU warranty covers the PSU apparently.. I've modded my case and mine is still apparently covered (PSU anyways), OEM is Super Flower if anyone was wondering.

lol the Hydro looks like Peyton Manning's forehead

When case gets to really small size. It starts to make compromises here and there. Whether it's cooling, storage, noise or whatever.

The Ncase M1 is the best among. But to ship it from the US to Europe. All the import taxes, VAT and shipping will make it close to $280. It's a bit hard to swallow.

The SG13 is actually probably the best. It's smaller than the M1, and the only feature it lacks is the slim optical drive support and dual 120mm fans. At $40 it's much, much easier to swallow. In fact I've had two SG05s and an SG13, they're my favorite cases.

Only if it has a side window. :)
