Removing thermal paste

So I am installing a new CPU cooler and need to clean off the stock thermal paste. Should I use paper towel or  toilet paper?I don't have any coffee filters. Will 70% Isopropyl Alcohol do the trick? Thanks.

70% will work, the higher concentration the better, Clean off stock thermal paste, please for the love of god buy some coffee filters, dont use a paper towel it can leave residue *paper I mean*

70 is fine the only reason people recommend say 91 is because its more pure and leaves less micro bacteria(basically the higher alchol used the more clean and pure the surface will be), though 70 will do just fine. and use a coffee filter. other things leave particles and residue

If you don't have coffee filters you can rummage through your girlfriend's/sister's/mom's/some random woman you may be fornicating with, stuff and grab make-up removal cotton pads to remove the TIM, you can also use a clean microfibre cloth.
