Modding Corsair C70

As the title explains I want to Mod a C70 to add some red accents for my build, anyone know of how i could pull of the plastic outlines on window and front panel to color them and what to color them with, Spray paint maybe?

Oh yeah! I've done this! They are super simple to remove, they're only held on by screws on the side, clips on the front.

From what I can see in pictures the side panel comes off with just some screws.

It actually isn't a sticker! It is layers of acrylic I cut, painted, and glued together!

yep! That is sorta my signature thing on PCs. The red and black PC you see now had a deadpool logo on the front!

wow thats great. i havent done much modding but i saw the possibilitues and it just so happens my dad and grandpa happen to have like every tool i could need

well, fair warning, the front pins on the C70's plastic are more than likely gonna break. they're melted in place. however, using just a dab of superglue on them has held them in place wonderfully for over a year for me. I might also suggest trying a carbon fiber wrap for them, it looks AWESOME

Ooh carbon fiber would look nice, why must you tempt me with these possibilities, i mean im only a high school kid with too much time on my hands how do you expect me to complete all of these in that amount of time

well then, rekt, cause I did that mod in HS as well. painting the plastic is EASILY done in a day, I can't imagine wrapping the plastic would be any more time consuming. of note, I also painted the fan filter, which looked even sexier than I thought it would in the end.

Yeah, for the windows you just unscrew it, and the black inserts come off. You have to cut off the retainers on the front to get those inserts off, but it isnt too hard.

How did you pain the fan filter without getting spray pain gunking up on the mesh? did you just mask it all off?

yep, just used some painters tape and an exacto knife. peals right off all nice and clean!

May I ask where you got the coloured carbon fibre wrap, and if they have it in green?

sadly, the red C70 isn't mine, just pulled it off google.

I did pretty much all the modding on my case when in highschool... It is quite simple, and not very time consuming, especially on the C70...
