I am a student who needs a laptop for school.
I am required to run Kali linux smoothly on a virtual machine. I would like to know the specs I will need on a laptop, I am also on a quite tight budget of around $800 AUD.
I have heard that I will need at least an i5 and 8gb of ram.. Is it possible with i3 and 4gb ram?
If there are anyone who uses virtual machines and have experience in them please reply. Thanks!

(for the people wondering why my other post asked on which GPU to get, I am thinking of getting a laptop for school and a low end gaming desktop for home)
