So i recently installed Linux Ubuntu on my computer where i previously had Windows 10. I have 2 monitors connected with my computer, one is connected to my Nvidia gpu and the other is connected to my motherboard's dsub port. On windows this wasn't a problem it worked flawlessly. Now on Ubuntu the screen plugged into the Nvidia GPU works fine but the second screen is showing only black with a single white stripe on the top left corner of the screen.

I'm fairly new to Linux so I'm not sure what i should do? I've tried detecting the other display in the settings menu as well as nvidia control panel. It's not being detected. But the screen is showing the white cursor.

You will not be able to run two monitors off of two different GPUs in Ubuntu.  If your Nvidia GPU has more than one output you can run dual monitors driven by one GPU.  Likewise, if your motherboard has two outputs you can run dual monitors that way.
