Looking for a cheap headset.

I don't usually come into the audio section because I'm just the guy who says "They're all do the same thing" annoyed as I browse Amazon seeing people charge over 40 dollars for headsets. To which my brother replies angrily that I'm just too cheap and don't know good quality. But I'll be honest I'm stuck right now using a pair of headphones with no mic that costed my mom 2 dollars each as a stocking stuffer for the whole family. There's no logo on them or anything so IDK what brand they are.

As far as audio outputs go I couldn't care less because they "make noise" like my current ones do, but I want a mic, and not a crappy one that breaks like I've had happen many times before.

So basically my criteria is I want something utilitarian under 20 dollars with a mic that won't break on me. I don't want the bells and whistles like LED lighting and crap.

Something like these looks good to me, but I'm willing to hear more opinions:

I would go up a bit in budget and go for some HyperX clouds. They are $80 but the quality if AWESOME they are REALLY comfortable and the mic is decent.

Chances are you wont get a decent headset without going to $40+

If I use words like probably or most likely, it is because I dislike certainty. These words can probably be omitted and the sentence read as a certainty.

Yeah that's just not happening. I would never pay over 30 dollars for a headset even if I was made of money.

"Cheap headsets" are not a good thing to purchase. Save up for a better set. It is better for thou to have a steel sword than one of copper!

It looks as if the peasants have risen up, and found swords!

But their sword's look a little short, if you know what I mean!

Good! The squires need training anyway!

Then you are either insane or completely ignorant, or possibly deaf

Objectively a $100 headset will sound better, be built better and have a better microphone than a $20 one

nobody said go and by $50000 headphones, but spending SOME money will mean better sound quality and better build quality

If its a budget constraint, then I completely understand, if you can only afford $20, fair enough

I got mine for $60. Sorry, but you want a headset with good build quality at a range that you won't find one. Just get one good headset and it will last (unless you break it).

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.
