Cannot update BIOS

Are you using MSI Live Update to update?

What BIOS version are you trying to update to?  Versions 3.4 to 3.6 say that you need to use either of the following methods to update:


- Use MFlash to update "BIOS + ME"
- Use MSI LiveUpdate

 

Are you using either of those methods? You can also try re-downloading the BIOS update and make sure it downloads successfully before proceeding, as your original download could be bad.

I want to update to the newest 3.6 version.

I've tried both methods and none of them succeed.

MFlash freezes for eternity. LiveUpdate after hitting update does not respond and crashes.

@Vettexl @evilarceus

 

I've managed to update BIOS by using DOS FPT.
