Will 2133 ECC RAM Downclock to Xeon CPU capability

In the process of building Virtual machine host (Spec in attached image) Just concerned about the compatibility of the CPU (Xeon E5-2630V3) which has a RAM speed capability of 1600/1866 (ARK) with the RAM that i was able to get at the time. The RAM i have is Kingston 2133 ECC RAM (DDR4) . 

I am hoping the RAM will simply down-clock to the max 1866 of the CPU but i was unsure if ECC RAM was able to do that.

OK.  You will be fine.  It will probably run  at 1600mhz out the box,  but it should run at 2133mhz on that cpu no problem.

I might be a noob  , but i wouldn't be blowing $7k+ on hardware without doing some research. I had to order in a hurry so i just took the RAM and CPUS i could get in the hope it would all come together.

Just as a follow up to this topic, managed to get all this hardware going no problems. Fitting in 2 x dual rads was an interesting experiment though!!
