Get a Xeon instead. An E3-1231 v3 is basically an i7, but it's like 50 Euros less than an i7-4790.

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

Just bought myself new parts from skytech.lt and the difference between 4690k and 6600k was like <40 euros, the main difference was the z170 mobo which was ~25 euros more expensive than z97 and ~15 euros more for ddr4. If you can spare ~40 euros more go for skylake for some future proofness

they both use same socket so i guess you could use high end H97 motherboards with it. In the end it's your choice if you want to save some money or go for i7

Try if you can. Haswell is still a good option.

Also, there's no such thing as futureproofing. The term gets thrown around alot but it's simply not true. CPUs and GPUs come out every year.

If you get a 980ti now you can probably have it for about 5 years. Like the 580, came out in late 2010 and it can still run Gta V

Those Haswell Xeons are perfectly compatible with any socket 1150 motherboard, so there's really no reason to opt for an i7-47xx unless you need the iGPU. The newer Skylake Xeons can't be run on regular consumer motherboards, however.

that's a tight fit in our country, but i guess it's possible if you go for 4670 (or e3 1231 v3) and h87/97 or an 6500 with h170 or even b150 if it's already over your budget.
