Hi my name is Harry and im doing my final year of product design in school. For it im designing and building a pc desk case, so im looking to do a bit of market research about the typical end user and what features they would want so any piece of information is greatly appreciated.

About the end user:

  • Age bracket
  • Location (e.g. inner city, small town, middle of nowhere)
  • Any hobbies
  • Anything else?

About the product

  • What materials would you like on the product
  • Other design features (e.g. certain colours you would like, do you like aggressive/sharp edges or smooth curved edges, lighting?)
  • Secondary functions of the desk (e.g. built in speakers, adjustable height)
  • What would you be willing to pay for a product like this (what you have described)

Thanks

We have a LTT user poll somewhere. It has users age.etc

As for the product I would like a metal/glass maybe carbon composite or wood depending on color.

I tend to perfer white/black/silver with accents of a bright color like blue, yellow.etc

I wouldn't really like any built-in features. Maybe hieght adjustability though.

As for willingness to pay, it depends on cost. Why would I buy a ~3000$ pc-case-desk when I could use my existing desk and get a 100$ case?

Old enough

Paradise

Scoring chicks and juggling bricks

No.

Wood, tempered glass and steel.

Black and wood grain. Elegant, understated, glass should be tinted. No stupid lights.

Desk should have 2 separate 4u rack mounts that drop units in vertically. Modelled loosely on Ikea jerker. All elements should be individually height adjustable.

If it's perfect, I'll pay what it costs.

I would spend around $500 for a pc case desk, but that's just me.

1. A led strip behind the monitor for backlighting would be rlly cool

2. Case easily accessible

3. Neutral color (black, white, wood)

4. Height adjust would be nice

5. Pull out workspace underneath?

I would like tempered glass, stainless steel and mabye some carbon fiber. LED are not necessary but mabye availlable as a optional pack :).

Also you could make one Premium edition with a extra like Case water cooling build allready in and one for budget but with similar looks.
