So every once and a while i will get an error on my motherboard (6f) that stands for System Agent DXE Initialization (System agent module specific). This error does not allow my computer to post, and take multiple restarts to fix.

Whenever I finally do boot, it says, "Overclock failed, please press F1 to configure setup."  Or something like that. I don't know what to do, and I've been dealing for this for an excess of 6 months. This is the 3rd thread in this forum I've tried so.....3rd time's the charm? ;D

Things I've tried:

-Clear CMOS

-Update Bios

-Taking off the XMP profile on my ram (Corsair Vengence LPX)

CPU is an i7 5820k, and mobo is an Asus X99 Pro/Usb 3.1

If you guys have any suggestions I would really like to get rid of this issue. Thank you for your time.

1. Cmos Battery has to be out for at least three minutes 5 recommended.

2. Try going into Bios and hitting default settings.

3. Stop overclocking if it isn't working.

4. Try taking the cpu and starting it. This will allow the Bios to reset a different way from taking out the battery.

I'm not an overclocking or BIOS expert, but maybe you can undo the overclock by resetting the BIOS back to factory settings?

Sorry I forgot to mention that I don't actually have anything overclocked. Just the ram, which I took off.

Do you mean take the CPU out and start the computer?

Sounds like it could be a BIOS setting thing, so a full CMOS clear should (theoretically) fix it.
