Hey,

I'm currently dropping some hints at my other half for valentines aimed at the Asus ROG 27" G-Sync/1440P (non IPS). I'm currently using a HP IPS 1080P monitor and switch to our 4k 55" TV when I want some Hi-res gaming. I'm just wandering/thinking what/how much difference is there between the Asus ROG and a standard IPS 1080P and therefore is it worth the grief I may/may not get (mood depending) from the other half when I start annoying her a little more lol

To my knowledge, The ROG has G-sync to remove any chance of tearing, a 1ms response time (which is becoming more common but isn't standard on IPS yet), is 1440p rather than 1080p, faster refresh rates when G-sync is off, and just has that amazing ROG design.

However there is a 21:9 ROG monitor (similar to Acers x34 Predator) coming soon, so you should ask for a delayed present and get that on release, I want it so bad

You are asking your girlfriend for a monitor for Valentines Day? And she isn't planning on lighting you on fire while you sleep? She's a keeper! ;) So jelly.

Haha I married her!
