An update popped up in the bottom of my screen whilst doing some homework and said that windows 10 home needed to be intstalled (I am currently on windows 10) so found this a bit fishy. I decided to run the update anyway and my pc crashed halfway through the config stage saying "sorry your computer has crashed"
It then restarted the pc for me and windows said "Restoring your previous session" and got jammed there twice
I had to power button hold reset and it did the whole thing all ok with no stops but i think this may be a bug so i was putting this as a warning to anybody, if you see an update just don't bother installing it

Cheers

Why Is it windows 10 not 9?

because 7 ate 9
(say it)

This should be under Operating System, not storage.

But there could be numerous reasons why this crash/recovery occured. Did you get any logs, maybe a minidump.dmp ?

Anything in your Event Viewer that shows the error?
