My friend has recently aquired a LARGE sum of money, unfortunately because a relative passed, but nonetheless he has asked me to plan and build him a pc costing anywhere up to 7k, obviously less is better.  If you guys want to throw at me a full parts list great, but I had a few questions.  I know that I want 980 tis(titan xs would be a waste of an extra 400) and the predator x34.  I am also going to do a full custom hardline tubing.  He doesn't play brand new triple AAA titles, he plays world of warcraft mostly.  (Trust me i get that this is overkill for what he plays, but he said he want's balls to the walls beautiful, and im gonna give it to him).  Do i want 3 980 tis if i am going to overclock the predator x34 as high as i can?  I think he will be fine with 2.  What case should I use?  Where should i look for watercooling parts, I have everything picked out on EK's website, but I feel like their is a better place to purchase watercooling parts, EK seems to be super premium, but if there isn't going to be a huge price difference, I'll stick with the stuff I have already picked out.  Those are my questions, but again, if anybody want's to put together a build with this stuff in mind, that would be great, too, i'd love to see some other opinions, Thanks.

EDIT:  BTW this is all in USD.  We live in the US.

I can help with programming and hardware.

I'd honestly wait until Pascal/Polaris comes out for the GPU's. Get a single 980ti until they drop if he wants it ASAP. Then you can make sure anything works and won't need RMA'ed after doing a custom loop. Two will probably be fine whatever you go with. Remember that SLI can cause some instability in certain games, so make sure the ones he plays work well with SLI. In his case it may be better to just get one top tier card and then add a second if he feels like he wants more. As far as a case goes, what does your friend want? Full tower, mid-tower, etc? I personally like mid/full towers as they're easier to build in, especially if you're doing custom watercooling.

That's what I would do, dual loops and a case from Caselabs. You could save quite a chunk going to a 5820K and 2x 980ti, but if you drop the processor you can't add a 3rd gpu

That leaves you with around $1300 for water blocks, cooling and anything else. I would go with EK water cooling because i have heard good things. This is no holds barred, balls to the walls, no shits given, sexy build. Its way overkill and there are parts that are not necessarily worth the money but they will look BA in your case.

I would go to performance pcs for the watercooling parts and for the tubing and fittings primochill, blocks ek, radiators hardware labs, and for the case you could go with a case labs sma8. I'll hit you with a part list in a sec

Well there is the Thermaltake X9/X5 which are pretty big, I'm using a X9 at the moment and it is huge, they aren't however high quality, which I think would spoil a build of this budget so maybe something like:

Don't go thermaltake their quality is awful for what type of build your going for. Look at jayztwocents's skunkworks

Lol pretty much exactly what I said, however the build quality isn't "awful", just not on par with Caselabs, but then Caselabs is 2.5x more $$$ for a similar case
