Browser notifications (FireFox)

I'm using FireFox and I'm constantly getting a message saying "LinusTechTips.com. Would you like to receive notifications from this site. Always Receive Notifications, Always Block Notifications, or Not Now. Does this have anything with the notification I receive by clicking on the "bell" icon?

Notifications can be pushed directly to your browser now, so you can keep track on them easily without an add-on.

I personally like seeing my notifications without the extra LTT tab open, as that's what I've been used to for several months now. I hope the notifier for FF gets fixed soon ^_^

Just did a test by purposely blocking browser notifications and yes the forum's notification still works.

You won't get a popup when there's a new notification if you block them.

I just hear a notification sound, so I clicked on the notification (bell) icon and saw your post. This means, FireFox's notification is optional and will not affect the forum's own notification system.

To clear bit. You will get notifications on active forum windows even if you disable firefox notifications (or Chrome or other browsers). Popups from browser wide notification happen when browser windows isn't active or you have another tab active.
