intel vs amd for gaming

Go to solution Solved by brob,

For pure gaming the i5-2500 with GTX 970 will offer the best performance in most titles. None really offer much of an upgrade path as both the AMD and Intel platforms are several generations past.

Budget & Location

I do not plan to spend any money and I am in Ontario, Canada

Aim

I do a bit of livestreaming gaming like minecraft, call of duty, skyrim etc. I would like to get into gaming like arma 3 .

Monitors

I currently have 1 monitor  its a syncMaster 920wm I would eventually like to go to 3 monitors or one large curved one in the future

Peripherals

Are not needed at all I have them all and i also have windows 7

What I want to know is which path I should take I currently own 8gbs of gskills ddr3 2133 memory I also own hd 6870 flex , antec 300 case and lastly a 750w antec earth power supply    I also own a amd 8120 with a msi 970 gaming board and a i5 2500 with a ga z68x ud3h b3   I was wondering which one offered the best gaming performous and upgrade ability

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
