See the also picture for the problem (hard to describe, so it will help). The screen switches at once from a normal image, to two times the same image. One image is shifted to the left. It rarely happens when I'm using office or other basic software. When I play games, it happens frequently (most time within 2 hours). And when it happens, it does not affects the second screen I use (both screens are plugged in the gpu of course). 1st screen: Acer G247HYUmidp 2nd screen: HP L1906 (some old office screen). If i switch to on board graphics the problem doesn't occur. I just got the witcher 3, so I need to get the problem solved as soon as possible ;).

Does it happen if you use your 2nd screen as the main display?

It kind of reminds me of the old crt displays if you set a resolution they didn't support

Uninstall and re-install the GPU drivers. Then go to Nvidia's control panel with only your primary screen plugged in. After going to the panel, plug in the 2nd monitor, it should now show as a monitor #2.

Try a different output from the graphics card maybe? Or even swap the monitors connections. E.g. monitor 1 using HDMI to DVI, DisplayPort or VGA (if your monitor supports them) etc. If you still don't get it fixed, I'd contact the manufacture or the place you bought it for a refund or replacement.

This the crap why consoules will win. After all this time still deal with driver crap. People want to plug shit in and it will work. Would be nice if Nvidia Amd Intel windows could unify better standards but they all try to separate so they can stay In control

  • 2 weeks later...

It looks like a driver issue fortunately. Got the issue one time and when the programm the computer was running crashed the issue disappeared. I will have a total reset, clean install of the computer ("some expert" told me that it should do the trick). topic can be closed.
